The standard job application form on Ohio420Jobs.com does not solicit job applicants’ Social Security Numbers. Please do not post your Social Security Number on Ohio420Jobs.com or include it in documents you upload to the Site.

It is common for Employers to request Social Security Numbers from applicants at the beginning of the job application process. However, many experts, including the Social Security Administration and The Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) discourage employers from requesting a job applicant’s SSN simply to apply for a job. The SSN is the key piece of data an identity thief needs to steal your identity.

To avoid becoming a victim of identity theft, security and privacy experts recommend that the SSN should only be provided at the point in the hiring process where the employer is making a bona fide offer of employment, and the SSN is required to conduct a background check or enroll the new hire in a benefits program.
